Product does not work on some models. On our laptop, it works for about 90 seconds after first being plugged in and then just stops. If you unplug and wait five minutes, it will work again... for another 90 seconds. There is presumably some fuse inside that is tripping. Proceed with extreme caution.
Cheap , do not buy (2010-02-17)
Does anyone know who NG is? It should be no good. I have purchased this adapter, 6 weeks later had it replaced, now 6 months later it does not work, trying to get a 3rd cord, is taking me over 3 hours. What is world coming to, it is just an adapter cord. Don't warranty a piece of junk, if you are not going to replace it, just tell us it will last 31 days, so you can't get your money back and let us decide for ourselves.
Really pissed off customer.

Lost in shipping (2010-02-10)
According to the USPS tracking number supplied by the merchant the product shipped right away. I never received it though. It is lost somewhere between them and me. I bought similar product on ebay and received it before estimated date. Avoid Amazon and go with Ebay.
What is the deal with DELL? (2010-01-13)
I'm returning to now review this product. I purchased this cord back in August of 2009 and it is now beginning to short out! That makes the lifespan of this cord about 5-6 months? I really don't understand why hardware like this is so delicate when it is consistently needed. But judging from all of the reviews and feedback I've read for dell products, this is leading me to invest in another brand. This is the first replacement cord I've had to buy and I was excited and grateful to be able to use it. Now I'm beginning to get annoyed as I feel that soon I may need to purchase another one. I was happy with this cord's performance but it didn't last long! Premature finish anyone?
If anyone seeks to purchase this, use it to buy time to set up a game plan, such as buying a new laptop. I just don't think this product is built to last.
Not as stated... (2009-11-04)
This item is NOT a Dell product. The AC Adaptor is just that...not a charger. It will not maintain the laptop battery charge, so it's useless. Still need to buy another one. I guess this is how we "learn" what not to buy! Very surprised that it's still for sale through Amazon, with the amount of negative reviews.
