Great Movies Poor photos (2010-03-03)
I used this for more than a year and finally got rid of it. The photo quality was very disappointing and was finally forced to carry my old Canon digital elph for pics. The movie quality was very good and I loved the MP4 (lots of video very small files) format but just could not stand the pictures.
The ergonomics were not the best. Worst feature was a very small separate movie button very hard to turn on and off. It was nice having a separate button for pics and movies but still. . . . . .
Another bad feature was it is very easy to put the left fingers over the lens. This is the result of a good feature in that the lens never protrudes from the camera but then you have no reference point and the fingers get over the lens very easily especially if you rest fingers on top of camera.
Just finally had to sell it - believe me you can do a lot better than this camera. I replaced it with a Nikon coolpix L20 on closeout at Sams for $59 - Great photos excellent video - although AVI format but at least I carry one camera again.
Green camera (2010-02-12)
This camera was a gift to myself. It takes excellent pictures and was well worth the price. It arrived very quickly and it perfect condition..I would definitely order again!
Lowered standards? (2010-02-06)
Has the world gone mad? Have we lowered our standards when it comes to quality? I mean, I just dont understand why anyone would rate a camera on anything other than PICTURE QUALITY. A camera is for...get a load of this,,,,taking pictures. It's not for pushing buttons and doing back flips. Just for taking pictures. At least, that's what I think. Anyway, it is MY OPINION that this camera STINKS. Simply put, the pictures come out grainy or out of focus or, grainy and out of focus. GARBAGE. I realize that this is no SLR, but can someone not invent a point-and-shoot that takes a picture that is at least in focus? What year is this again? This is my second try with a point and shoot. So far, I've had no luck. Next up...Canon SD1200.
Very Pleased with this camera! (2010-01-27)
I really like how easy it is to use and it's compact size. The rechargable battery lasts quite a long time, and it takes an SD card which I can pop right into my laptop. It has quite a few different settings for different situations and if I'm on the right setting the pictures come out great. I am pleased w/the picture quality and recommend this for someone who wants a decent point and shoot lightweight camera at a good price..with simple settings. I've had several small digital cameras and this one is my favorite so far, and also the least expensive.
Cute and Small but Disappointing (2010-01-24)
I have owned this camera for over a year hate the quality of the pictures. I'm not an expert when it comes to cameras I'm not a novice either, and have larger better cameras but after a while the larger ones get heavy. So when I saw this camera I thought it would be perfect. Its light and portable however the quality does not make this camera worth the price. I have used every feature available to get quality shots and for close up (5ft) the pictures are for the majority are ok in quality considering the megapixels size. However, when I take pictures that are farther away then 5ft the picture quality diminishes as the distance gets further.
