Great shower head but very poor quality control (2010-08-30)
Mine leaks like a river! Peerless quality control cannot be this bad! Instead of wasting my time sending this thing back, I took it apart and fixed it myself. If you have a really bad leakage problem, try this before you spend 1-2 hr sending this thing back (assuming you have the right part). Pry off the cap opposite the head valve, remove the stainless screw, the white plastic part, and the valve stem itself. Be careful not to lose the black rubber seal and the spring, 'cause it will pop out if you're not careful. Slowly pull the calve stem from the head. Now, the valve stem supposes to have two o-rings (mine came with only ONE o-ring, hence the ridiculous leakage). If you have one handy like I do (I have a kit from Harbor Freight that has all the different o-rings sizes), then you are set. Well, I install one o-ring that was missing, rub in some silicone grease, and put everything back together. Voila, the shower head now operates perfectly.

My score for Peerless quality control: -10.

My score for the performance of this product: an absolute 5. It makes me feel like taking a shower in a 5-star hotel. The spray pattern is wide and strong. I just love it. All the people in my house love it, except the little kids (they get scared of the strong spray).

Seriously, take your chance of getting a massive leaking shower head and buy this one-it is that good.

The Peerless shower head fit our weird shower and is like a visit to Water World, a walk in the rain and a message all at the same time. We love it.

The installation instructions were minimum but then its only the head, a hose, and the spliter. installed without a problem or leaks.

Nice... but (2010-08-22)
Great concept, however, it seems to need too much water pressure to work properly. It is made of mostly plastic and feels really cheap. It doesn't swivel enough to be really functional and the hose is too stiff for comfortable use at times. We still use it, but would like to find something better.

Cheap materials (2010-08-22)
I just redid my bathroom and was initally excited about this product. I was pretty much dissapointed the moment I opened the packaging. The showerhead had a cheap feel as did the cord. I was also suprised to find how much lower the shower head mechanism made my shower head, I did not account for that when plumbing in the shower and now it seems too low. I know there are some fixes for this but it seems like an inherent flaw of this design and I am dissapointed the good people at peerless didnt acknowledge this by including an extension that raises the shower head level or just changing the design of the product. I havent had any issues with leaking but cannot get over the cheap feel of the materials. I guess I expected something a bit more solid as opposed to plastic for the price.
