Amazon.com Product Description
The original kick scooter just got a whole lot better, making it even more fun for kids and teens alike. Though it'll never replace the internal combustion engine, the Razor A2 will get your child from point A to point B much quicker than on foot alone, and requires just a few scoots of one's shoes in the process. Plus, it's a blast to use, as your progeny will likely attest.

The Razor A2 is built of aircraft-grade aluminum, a sturdy material that holds up to use and abuse through the years. Razor combined the traditional aluminum construction, however, with a number of recent innovations, including a springless shock system that makes bumpy pavement feel smoother than ever and an all-new wheelie bar that guarantees an extra dollop of fun. Add in the foldable T-tube and deck, which tuck together to create a compact footprint (ideal for carrying when riding isn't appropriate), and you have a great kick scooter for virtually any situation. Other details include an enhanced finger guard, 98 mm inline-style wheels, and a patented rear fender brake for quick stops.

This version of the Razor A2, which weighs around 6 pounds and supports up to 143 pounds, and is recommended for ages 5 and older. It's also backed by a six-month warranty. For the next step up, try the Razor A3 Scooter.

Key Features:

  • For riders ages 5 and older
  • Sturdy aluminum construction
  • Weighs approximately six pounds
  • Rear fender brake
  • Enhanced finger guard
  • Patented folding mechanism
  • 143-pound user weight capacity
  • Six-month warranty

The buyer and rider of the Razor A2 scooter are responsible for knowing and obeying all local, state, and federal regulations regarding the riding and use of scooters.

Takes a beating (2010-08-23)
This well build scooter could take a beating. It was used hard and still keep rolling. Very smooth and turned great. Daughter was 8 when she got it and was prefect for her. Next door kids used and a bought themselves one.

a big hit with the grandkids (2010-07-26)
I bought two of these for my 7- and 5-year-old grandchildren to use when they come to visit. They were delighted with them and able to get the hang of it very quickly. I like the way they fold up and can be adapted to each child's size by raising or lowering the handlebars, so they should get many years' use out of them. They are also very quiet and smooth-running. Bought this for my daughter's 5th birthday in her favorite color. She absolutely loves it!

The simpliest toys are still the best (2010-06-10)
I bought this for my niece's 10th birthday. Her sister got a Radio Flyer version for 6 year olds. Since I've decided that we are going to spend as much time as possible outside, when the weather permits, this was perfect. I said 'no' to a DSi and a Dell mini, kids and adults need to go outside and play. It took 1-2 minutes for us to get it out of the box and upright (no assembley required). Then she was off and riding on my ceramic tile floors (it was raining outside). Her sister loved hers too (it was the all pink girlie version). So easy to use and learn to ride and it can be thrown into the trunk and taken anywhere. I'm going to have to get me one. They were so happy and as long as they don't destroy them in the next year then I'm happy.

The product itself is light-weight and has quite a large foot board. It has a brake for the back wheel that you can just hit with your foot. The handles are adjustable, I do wish the handle bar was a little taller becaus my niece is tall. Other than that it's a simple easy toy, like the skateboard, but is easier to use because you have the handle to help you balance yourself. My niece also mentioned how smooth the ride was but we'll be able to tell better when we go outside if the ride is smooth on pavement.

If you like a toy like this order it early. I looked in 3 different stores for the A2 & A3 version to purchase immediately and only one store had it for $15 more than Wal-Mart or Target. Amazon is a comparable price to Wal-Mart so it's just a matter of who you want to order it from. Target's price was more than Wal-Mart and Amazon. The most expensive was at Toys R Us ($15 more than Wal-Mart) but I was able to buy it that day and bring it home so it turned out to be worth it. I had no idea they were such hot items or I would have ordered a week ahead of time instead of paying the extra money.

My grandson says the locking system for height adjustment does not work properly. Other wise he likes it.
