Camera was everything I asked for and was delivered as promised except that the vendor shipped a product received from Sony that was destined for UK so the power cord from and to the charger had to be swapped out for an American plug and not a UK plug. $2.50 at Fry's not a big deal just confirm with vendor that they should ship an American plug if the UK unit is shipped. Great camera though size and zoom is what I asked for. and good value on a discontinued camera.

This was my third Sony digital camera. When I used a print SLR, I had a Nikon N90; the best...! For the price, you can't
beat these Sony's. Many of my friends and my own daughter has the Cannon's. But honestly, I do prefer the Sony for overall
results. If I had to find a complaint, it would have to be the fact that the Sony has a manual lens cap, where Cannon is automatic.

I use this on construction projects, have taken couple of thousand pics, rough use, dirt,dust,etc. no problems. Good camera for the money.

My Best Camera (2009-11-12)
I own this camera, I didn't buy it from Amazon though. My local Walmart had this camera brand new, not refurbrished, for $200. I don't remember the original price of this camera, but I do know I got a great camera for an amazing price. It takes great pictures as well as great videos. Even a person such as me, those who have quiet voices, it records the sound very well. I have different pictures and videos that I have taken with this camera. The camera detects faces and it has different features like those "soccer moms" would want to use the Sports feature. It pauses the picture on the camera for a split second then it saves it. It's better to use the sports feature during the day because it doesn't use flash for this feature. It's also a good camera if you have a job where you have to take photographs and you know you're going to end up banging your camera up. I have dropped mine time and time again. The battery life is great as well, it usually takes mine two weeks before it goes dead. I recommend this camera, although I am not sure how the refurbrished one would hold up, mine was new but it was around $400 when it came out at Walmart so no one really bought them.

I love this camera. It takes wonderful pictures and has a great zoom, but is also very easy to use and understand. I've had other cameras that came with tons of features and settings, but I could never remember what they all did. I felt like I needed to carry around the instruction manual to fully use and understand them. This camera solves that problem. It tells you what each setting is for on the display screen and makes it so easy to adjust the settings according to what you need for the picture. If you're like me and have two young children on the go and want a camera that will take great pictures and is intuitive to use, this is the camera for you!
