I Love This Camera! (2009-11-02)
My daughter-in-law has the DSC T-300 so I thought I would get an even better camera by buying the more expensive upgrade Cybershot at a retail store, but I didn't like it! I returned it and had to pay a $60.00 re-stocking fee! That's ok, I knew then what I wanted... the T300! This is the one you should get too - the Cybershot Super Steady-Shot DSC T-300! It has all the features you could ever want! It is easy to use, it takes great pictures, it has lots of editing features...some are really fun. If you look around on line you can get a super deal! I only paid $235.00 for mine and I even got the warranty! The box was kind of bent but everything inside was perfect and it had a 14 day return. I am keeping it :) VERY HAPPY

Wish there was a zero star for disappointment (2009-09-15)
I owned a DSC-T1 Sony Cybershot which is now on the slopes of a mountain in Wyoming. I had to buy this one to replace and thought I would get similar, but advanced camera with the same image taking/making ability. It is not. This is a sore sequel to the DSC-T1. That camrea had "breath-taking" high definition clarity to the images. I used it in the macro and panoramic and got consistent images constantly. THIS camera is one to AVOID. The images are blurry for macro, portrait, group or distance. It is just an inferior camera to the other offerings. I first thought it was me, so I reviewed the owner's manual, my settings, my subjects, my software. It all came back to this camera. For $600 I want near perfection. It is more like a fixed focus camera. As usual with Sony, it has a lot of bells and whistles that have nothing to contribute to image quality. It is a waste of money if you are looking for high def photos. I have had it a year and five months and am very very sorry I did not return it. I sound mad, I am not. I just don't want any other consumers to get this bad camera. DO NOT BUY this to make good photos, you won't get them. Look elsewhere. Oh, and the "steady-shot" features has a mind of it's own and is now beginning to malfunction.

Too pricy than it should be (2009-09-03)
Ya its a great device bla bla .
but it cost a lot and it don't have HD video recording ability .
it also dont take good picture in low light and its auto light fix is horrible ! ! !
it don't take great PICTURES*
it has problem with color
video is great
battery life is worst then u think 3.5 hrs maximum !
touch screen SUCKS
it looks like 128x128 pixel
i mean the screen Sucks Real Bad .
i will never buy any more Sony Products in my life
if u r looking to buy camera buy cannon they do better job with picture quality .
i mean my friend has one cannon he bought it for like $200 and its 8mp and i bought this one for $400 but his camera does great picture than mine .
remember paying more doesn't mean u r getting good thing .

I would steer away from this one. (2009-08-22)
This camera was to replace the Cannon supershot that was acting up on me. I miss my Canon, this camera drives me nuts.

1. like one person said, it does not power on USB.

2. controls are complicated. everything is touch screen so moving in between modes is a pain.

3. sony has this stupid proprietary cable instead of the standard "device to USB" cable (the kind that has the small end and then the USB end). this means that you have to have the sony cable to download pictures.

4. my biggest beef is that this camera's zoom sucks to the nth degree. my Canon NEVER took such crappy pictures. the focus is terrible! i freaking hate it. maybe i should give this a 2?

5. on a positive note, unlike my Canon, you can film beyond 3 minutes. you can film as long as you have memory.

6. oh, i found it hard to shrink the size of the photos. most average a meg. my Canon took sharp pictures and only took up a few hundred kilobytes even at 7 megapixels.

in summary, steer away from this item and get something simpler, and that can easily focus. i regret asking for this camera.

I can not believe Sony does not back there product!!!!! (2009-07-08)
Purchased camera in May 2008, since day one camera did not work properly. Pictures had red dots in them or pictures were out of focused. Shipped camera out to be repaired and received camera back with the same problems and poorly packaged. Sony did not offer explanation and I had to send it out once again. On vacation in Disney July 2009, camera had system error and can not be fixed unless I pay over $171.00. I will never again purchase a Sony Camera!!!!!
