This battery arrived in a nice box, attached to the computer quite well (as well as the factory battery did) and is working well. I'm using it right now. battery life is comparable to the original battery.

Cured my problem! (2010-03-04)
My Dell XPS M1530 battery would no longer retain a charge after 13 months. Dell would not warranty the battery after 12 months and their replacements were way too expensive. Others on Dell forums had told horror stories about bad motherboards and such for the same "will not charge" problem. I finally decided to try replacing the battery basically so I could rule out the battery if it still didn't work... The replacement battery arrived in a very timely manner and when I plugged it in, it had a 50% charge already! After a full charge, I now have a solid 2+ hours of cord-free operation on the laptops "high performance" setting. I am very satisfied with this product and it's supplier.

Skeptical but I now stand corrected (2010-02-25)
Purchased this about 2 years after the purchase of my M1530. Went to Dell's website and was not about to spend one hundred and fifty five bucks. Got it in about 3 days, the packaging was professional and I was impressed. I have the 8600M GT and the 1440x900 screen, and on power saver with a few notches of brightness lower than the highest setting, the battery lasted almost 5 hours on the first charge. The battery itself is no bigger than the dell 9 cell. If you are skeptical about purchasing a third party battery, simply do not be, at least from AGPtek.

Half the price, twice the Charge! (2010-01-30)
Under "balanced" mode this battery seem to last twice as long as the original battery. It is larger, but I like that fact that it raises the back a bit -- improves heat dissipation....Let's see how long it lasts. My original Dell lasted less than year. If this lasts longer, I'll be more than satisfied.

As awesome as a battery gets! (2010-01-07)
When both of my Dell batteries died almost immediately after their warranty expired I began shopping for a new one because I like to take my lappie on the go a lot... My jaw dropped to the floor when I was reminded that these batteries are 140$ when going through Dell, so I said screw that, no way in hell am I paying that for a battery that will die soon after the warranty expires. I went with this AGptek battery and its worked amazingly so far. it does not fit as flush in the lappie as my dell battery did but it it dosn't fit badly either, it still clicks in and is very secure. The charge lasts me hours, one thing that my dell batteries did at 3x the price. So if this one dies after a year, i'll be sure to buy another one from Amazon/AGPtek. Thanks for saving me the $ guys!
