I bought this battery about a month ago and so far it works great. It shipped quickly and was packaged well. I can get a couple hours out of the battery with normal brightness and a good amount of time with it in full screen mode as well.
not a good buy (2010-08-21)
Does not do a good job of recharging. only allows half an hour after recharging.
Battery died after 2 months (2010-07-30)
I bought this battery as replacement to the Dell original battery. At first this battery worked well but after 2 months it just died. Contacted seller for warranty and got no response. Don't buy this battery.
pleasantly surprised (2010-07-27)
I haven't had this for long, so I can't comment on its longevity, but so far I am impressed. The price is great, and it came almost fully charged. It has the same charge meter button on it that the Dell battery has, and Windows is able to meter the charge as well. I used my laptop for 3 hours on one charge. It is bulkier than the battery that came with my laptop, but also lasts much longer. The size is actually a plus, unless you are trying to fit the laptop in a very tight case. Because it lifts the back of the laptop off the table about 2cm, it actually helps keep it cool by allowing the fan to circulate air better. I used to have problems with the laptop getting too hot, but not anymore. Also, it is easier to pick the laptop up with one hand because the larger battery is easy to grip, whereas before I would feel that the laptop might slip out of my hand if I wasn't careful. I'm glad I got this thing.
Dont Buy (2010-07-24)
Battery only lasted a little over a year - now reading other reviews that this is a common issue for these batteries from AGPtek. Item not recommend.
